DUBAI DANCE ACADEMY

My name is Josephine Roux, I’m 12 years old and have been dancing since I was 4 years old.

I get my dance training at  The Dance Academy Dubai, where I get awesome teachers and dance classes

From a very young age, I always aspired to be the best dancer I could. I grew up with many dancers as my role models, and I would always dream of becoming like them. As I grew up, it was clear that this was what I wanted to do. Whenever I’m dancing whether at the barre or a variation, I feel at home. Whenever I can do something related to ballet, I immediately engage. It’s like a gravitational pull towards this art form, which is my passion. My biggest dream, which I always carry with me, has always been to become a ballerina in a great ballet company, and when I look at how far I’ve gotten, I really feel like this is amazing. There is just a feeling that I can’t explain with words, but that makes me always want to dance.

Josephine Roux

I have always loved dancing and anything related to the art form. When this opportunity came to represent L’atelier Tutu, I was honored to work with them and be part of the growing dance community in the UAE. I train 6 days a week, so I really need quality dance wear. This why I love L’atelier Tutu’s clothing. It keeps its amazing quality over time, and the creations are always very original. I especially love the tights and shoes. The tights are the perfect material and color. They are very soft. The flat shoes are really nice, because they allow me to turn, but they also are not too slippery. There are also different shades, varying on the type of dance or choreography. I also feel so comfortable wearing this clothing, and it allows me to do any movement. I have been to a few competitions such as GDO or DIDC, where I always carried my beautiful tutu warm ups.

Warsaw Ballet School

My name is Sophie Mosanya, and I’m a 14-year-old dancer of Polish and Belgian descent currently studying at the Warsaw Ballet School. I have been passionate about the performing arts from a very young age, training in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, and Contemporary styles. However, it’s Contemporary and Ballet techniques that truly capture my heart, and have been the main focus of my training.

I am deeply grateful to L’atelier Tutu, as I always feel so comfortable wearing Tutu dancewear; I feel that I can train and perform my best! L’atelier Tutu has been so supportive in my dance journey, therefore I am thrilled to officially collaborate with the lovely team. When buying L’atelier Tutu dancewear, beautiful designs as well as high quality are guaranteed.

I have been fortunate to attend intensive courses at prestigious European ballet schools, such as the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart, Germany, and Brussels International Ballet School in Brussels, Belgium. Additionally, I have received several scholarships across different dance disciplines from i.e. Joffrey Ballet School in New York and Urdang School in London.

I have also represented the UAE in Ballet, Jazz, and other categories at the Global Dance Open finals this summer, where I won gold and silver medals. My biggest achievement was being awarded a world vice-champion titles in neoclassical and repertoire ballet categories this year.

I’m so excited for what’s to come, and I hope to continue growing and pushing my limits in Ballet and beyond.

Adam Popa

Adam Popa

Aspire Ballet Dubai

My name is Adam Dean Popa, and I’m a 13-year-old dancer from Egypt and Romania, currently practicing at Aspire Ballet Dubai. I started dance at the young age of 4, training in ballet. Once I got older, I started training in contemporary too. It’s my dream to become a Première in a big dance company. I also take part in the RAD exams and am currently in Grade 7 and Intermediate Level. I contribute to pas de deux classes as well to be able to extend my learning of the performing arts.

I’ve taken part in many national and international ballet competitions, including DIDC (Dubai International Dance Competition) and IDTCI (International Dance Talent Competition Italy). I’ve also been involved in many workshops in Italy, the U.A.E., Romania, and Egypt. I’ve participated in many shows, including Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, and more. However, the biggest thing I’ve taken part in was the 7th season of Arabs Got Talent 2024, where I was able to reach the final and showcase not only my talent but also my brother’s talent. Though we didn’t win, it was an amazing experience to be there.

Adam Popa

I’m grateful to be part of the Young Artists Ambassadors for L’Atelier Tutu, as I would love to inspire more male ballet dancers to push themselves beyond their limits. I love the brand, as their dancewear, including ballet shoes, is amazing and comfortable to wear.

I’m really excited for what’s waiting for me in the future and can’t wait to keep pushing myself in ballet and much more.

Grace Hibbard

Grace Hibbard

Dance Infinity Dubai

Hi, I’m Grace, and I am 11. I have been dancing since I was 5 years old at Dance Infinity Performing Arts in Dubai.

Dance is my world! I love learning and performing different dance styles. I train six days a week, always pushing myself to grow and improve. Dance brings out the best in me, and I feel so passionate about expressing myself through movement and music. It’s not just something I do; it’s a part of who I am!

Being part of a dance team means everything to me. I love the energy, support, and friendship that come with working together toward a goal.

Dance has been an integral part of my young life. It has helped me grow in confidence, both when performing and in my daily life at school.

It is such an honor to be selected as a Young Artist Ambassador for L’Atelier Tutu.

Being a dance ambassador is an honor that allows me to inspire others through movement and celebrate the universal language of dance. As a representative of the dance community, I strive to connect people, foster creativity, and encourage self-expression.

My two Values of Being a Dance Ambassador:

  • Inspiration: As a dance ambassador, I have the privilege of inspiring others to embrace dance, not only as a form of physical activity but also as a means of self-expression and confidence-building.
  • Community Building: Representing dance provides opportunities to connect with diverse groups, fostering unity and a sense of belonging through shared appreciation of art and movement.

I love the Grande Dance Tote Bag. I like how it comes in two sizes and colors. I have the larger size as it has so many pockets. I find these very useful when you have a variety of dance accessories. As a dancer, I love accessories and have so many! I am a big fan that every piece of dancewear comes with a matching scrunchie! It is just perfect for keeping your hair neat when dancing.

It’s been such an honor to represent the UAE at GDO in Spain and compete in so many amazing dance competitions, such as GPAA, where I won 1st place in my contemporary duet. This year, I won 1st in the Ajman Ballroom Crown Cup 2023 and 2024—both as a solo performer and as part of a team. I dance a variety of styles, and my favorite styles are Ballroom, Contemporary, and Commercial.

Anis Popa

Anis Popa

Aspire Ballet Dubai

My name is Anis Popa, and I am a 13-year-old dancer.

I started dancing when I was 3 just for fun, but then I started to take things more professionally when I was 6.

I have been passionate about the performing arts from a very young age, training in RAD exams, ballet, contemporary, and hip hop. Both contemporary and ballet techniques allow me to explore a wide range of movements, blending emotional expression with technical precision. One of my passions is participating in international and national competitions as well as taking part in workshops, which is what keeps me deeply invested in my practice.

Lately, I expanded my experience on Arabs Got Talent Season 7. I was able to receive expert training that allowed me to truly unlock and expand in three different shows. I am proud of my artistic abilities as I made it to the finals with my brother. Although we didn’t win, we had such a nice journey. Moreover, no matter the outcome, simply reaching this point is a victory in itself for all of us.

Anis Popa

I’m truly grateful to L’Atelier Tutu for choosing me to be one of the ambassadors, which will allow me to express myself fully while feeling confident and supported throughout every rehearsal and performance.

I’m thrilled about the future ahead, and I look forward to further challenging myself and expanding my growth in ballet and beyond.

Sara Bin Karam

Sara Bin Karam

UAE National Figure Skating Team

Hi, I’m Sara! My love for skating began at six after watching a captivating performance at Dubai Mall. Before that, I explore in various sports and musical pursuits like gymnastics, ballet, horse riding, piano, and flute, but none of them truly resonated with me. My dad initially suggested ice hockey—especially since my brother is a referee—but I craved the freedom and grace that figure skating offers. At eight, I started skating alongside hockey, but figure skating quickly became my true passion. Despite the pandemic and some equipment delays, I officially started figure skating in 2019. By 2022, I was competing internationally and proudly joined the UAE national team. Currently, I’m working hard on mastering my double axel.

I absolutely adore L’atelier Tutu! As a locally grown UAE brand, their clothing is both cute and functional. My favorite pieces are their on-ice shorts—they’re stylish and super comfortable! I also love my L’Atelier Tutu bag, which perfectly fits all my training essentials. Their everyday pieces are great for long flights to competitions, and the leg warmers are just gorgeous. I can’t wait to explore more of their collection!

I’ve had the privilege of training with remarkable coaches like Jorik Hendricks and Adam Solaya, who were instrumental in Loena Hendricks’ European gold medal win. I’ve also trained with skating stars like Florent Amodio, Javier Fernandez, and the reigning Olympic Champion, Anna Scherbakova. Each experience has been invaluable, and I’m excited to continue learning from these key figures as I keep pushing to enhance my skating skills.

As Founder, Creative Director, and Brand Strategist, I lead the design, production, and global growth of L’atelier Tutu. A premium dancewear brand from the Gulf region, reaching ballet dancers around the world.
